Despite the almighty and adventurous spirit I have exhibited thus far on this latest crusade of knowledge, I can’t help but make note of the eerie calmness that envelopes this nation. With deep Islamic conservative rituals at play, people pass one another on the streets as strangers instead of fellow countryman. I can hear thousands of silent screams from the populace, and the noise is deafening. Indeed it makes for interesting observation, however I do wonder the length of time that such a peace can remain with a modern countries people so contained. On a positive note, it also makes for a flirtatious vibrance among the youthful Western tourists and expatriates alike. Smirks are given as Americans and Europeans converse, for the lives they once held dear are now veiled in secrecy. Certainly, I have been one known to smirk.
